Vermont: What is that thing?

Not exactly sure what it is, but at least it's unique.

I did think it needed a more distinct shape. These were inspired by the shields for both Australia and, to a lesser extent, the autoroutes of neighboring Quebec. They are a little interstate-like, so I altered the color a bit, and even made a bland black and white one:

To be honest, the shape of your signs looks a little bit like Virginia's shield. Nice work, though!

If you turn those upside down they'll look like California's "spades"!
