One of the fundamental parts of Road Dreams was the soundtrack, particularly some gems from Rik Loveridge. I see Rik has been on this forum - if you're reading this Rik, do you have any other music available apart from the Road Dreams material (I now have all the RD tracks on CD)? Steve.

Steve Rik here. I've been working on some new stuff with Elliott for Road Dreams II (codenamed Codachrome I think) and some 'roadlettes' called RetroRoadTrips. Elliott is expecting to launch end of July07 (ish). If there is bandwidth on the site I'd like to put up some more of my stuff which covers genres well beyond RD. All the best Rik

Hi Rik, looking forward to the release of Codachrome. I've received 7 RetroRoadTrips from Elliott so have heard the soundtracks to those. Keep up the good work. Regards, Steve.

Hi I am so glad that I am not the only person to be totally captivated by these films - I loved EVERYTHING about them - the gentle music, the shaky camera work, the 'interesting' people he filmed, and the professional yet laid back quality of the dialog. ;D In fact it would be fair to say that Eric's films that inspired me to go to North America ... in an odd way 'Road Dreams' has become an enduring memorial to a confident and more optimistic America. I don't think you could do this now Eric ... not with Homeland Security and all that. Would I pay for copies of these gorgeously spell-binding films? Yes, because it is the closest thing I could ever get to a 'time machine'. I would be v. interested in acquiring a good quality copy of Eric's 'Road Dreams' - I am presently working in Western Canada, and can be contacted at flyingscotts at yahoo dot ca ...
